Taste of Tibet

Got Momos?

The Taste (& Culture) of Tibet in Cincinnati

Tibetan ArtGaden Samdrupling (GSL) Tibetan Buddhist Monastery invite everyone to The Taste of Tibet to enjoy a new taste experience. The traditional Tibetan food, prepared by Tibetan monks, includes authentic dishes such as:

  • Momos (a dumpling similar to oriental fried dumplings or pot stickers)
  • Bean threads
  • Potato and cheese rounds with traditional spices
  • Traditional Tibetan salt tea and hot, sweet tea
  • A wide array of both non-vegetarian and vegetarian choices will be available.

Like many countries, some of the best artisans created religious paintings, statues and other objects which were crafted by monastic communities in Tibet. Today those artisans reside all over the world and examples of their work can be found in the GSL gompa (temple).
